We'd love to hear about what you do over the 4th. Comment below.

  1. It seems that no matter what Air Force base we find ourselves on, we always end up doing the same thing. Waiting out in the heat be it sticky, or dry and hot as a hair dryer, for fireworks. Food is a must, and since we started having kids so is a way to coral the little ones. Old Navy Flag shirts are always worn, and picturs for scrapbooking are always taken.

  2. This is our 7th time my husband & I have been together for the 4th of July and ya know, we dont any traditions yet. Mostly because he's always working on the 4th and he gets lots of overtime because of the stupid things people do over the weekend. I think when we have kids (hopefully soon) I'll make sure we have some fun traditions, but for now I'll just be organizing my scraproom so I can use it.

  3. I just spend time enjoying my family, and scrapbooking. Kids are all grown with kids of their own. So just seeing them on the weekends is a treat for me. I hope everyone has a safe holiday with friends and family. That is what I had and that's all I can pray for.

  4. Since high school me and my bff have always gone to the Watermelon Festival in Grand Bay. Then afterwards we watch the fireworks from downtown Mobile. Since I've had kids we have changed it a bit and now we usually go to a Mobile Baybears (AA ArIzona Diamondbacks) and they do fireworks after the game. This year was a little bit different. The festival was on the 3rd but I also threw a baby shower for my bff. So no festival. Then the 4th we had my youngest bday party. I hope to get back to tradition next year. So much calmer and cheaper. Lol.

I hope that all of the CC family enjoyed their 4th celebrations.

I took lots of pictures and can't wait to put them to good use! :) Hope you are enjoying YOUR weekend CropCholate Family! :)

  6. I am from Canada and we have Canada Day on July 1st, but normally I have to spend it at work since I work in accounting and its quarter end (no fun) but since I am on mat leave I got to spend it with the kids and hubby swimming at the in laws with a bbq.

  7. We used to just have a family BBQ. But in the last 3 years, it has all changed. My son was born on the 4th of July, 2008, so since then, we've been having a jam-packed weekend with a birthday party with friends & family on one weekend day, then the traditional family BBQ with close family - usually 9 adults and 7 (soon to be 8) crazy kids 6 & under. =)

  8. My SIL has a lake house over in Eastern WA so we 'camped' there. Our latest version of camping is parking our camper in her driveway. On my drive home, my friend called to tell me she had kindly locked the door between my house and garage for me when she was there to feed my goldfish. Thanks, I said. You've just locked me out of my house. Had to break in to my own house when I got home! LOL

  10. We just hung out and had a nice day together at home. Then after dinner we walked down to the Fairgrounds to watch the fireworks. Colin is 5 and loves fireworks but it was little Emily's first time (she's four months) and she screamed and cried the whole show! Poor baby.

  11. Taking a swim in the lake, a BBQ at the local state park, and some fishing followed by watching all the neighbors set off fireworks.

  12. We go camping, and take the munchkin to a nearby parade and watch fireworks on the lake for the entire weekend. He thinks its a blast to play in the lake and dirt all weekend.
