Now that Amber is on-board, we buy plenty of product for various tastes. We no longer have some hairy man with a beard pretending he knows what's up in the scrapbook world. We acquire enough units for those who like certain design elements to grab at least one while those who aren't so big on a current deal have the hope that the next one is just what they've always dreamed about at a SWEET price... alright, that's a bit far-fetched.
Nonetheless, we are testing a new way to shop at CropChocolate.com. Here's how it's going to work:
1. When we feature the 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 8pm deals we will only offer 1
item to purchase. Since we already purchase in large quantities, we can give all customers equal time to acquire an item.
2. We will re-feature the previous "new deals" at 9am, 1pm, 5pm and 9pm in the following days with the ability to add up to 3 additional deals.

3. Rather than doing one or two big The Chocolate Binge! days, we will feature them throughout the month. We will be increasing the checkout days to 15 to help with purchase planning.
4. Once Classifieds are launched, all items will be available for swaps 15 days after they're first featured.
To clear up some questions on classifieds swaps. There will not be a fee of any sort if you swap CropChocolate.com inventory with another user. It will be just like swapping through the email portal but the item(s) will be available for all to grab.

We're really close to the new launch and we think you'll love all the changes. We'll be working on new stuff too but that will roll out in the months to come.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmm,I want to say it all sounds awesome, BUT...... if I can get on and there is a deal I like and I want more than 1, I'm going to be pretty disappointed if I can't add more than 1. And it will be hard to plan (and to remember) to come back on later to get it (maybe). I don't want to have to be bugging people for things all the time.

Hey I am a big, hairy, bearded can't see my feet cause of my big beer belly guy and I ADORE paper crafting! I like scrapin' just as much as punkin chunkin, beer pong, lawnmower/belt sander racing, and watermelon seed spittin!!! JK,LOL!!! I am all woman; although I am big(6ft.)and (thanks to my irish papaw!) somewhat hairy!!

ReplyDeletePersonally I'd much prefer to be able to get TWO of an item on the first go-round but I do understand about needing to do ONE, most items ONE is enough but when it comes to certain things (like alphas) you really need TWO to spell anything ;-)

Love the sounds of the new plan!!! As someone who has missed out quite a bit despite checking the site all day....I love the idea of items being offered for a quantity of one the first time, and knowing you can check the next day or two for dupes....sounds like an awesome way to spread the "Chocolate Love" around! ReplyDeleteI love the new plan. It sounds great except for one thing - when it comes to paper I love to grab two of the same espically if the paper in a pack only comes with one of each kind. Unless I'm using the entire pack to create a theme book, I like to have the main background page the same. Same goes for alphas, you need two so you can spell. So I agree with a few others who have said that adding two when new would be better.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those few who check in infrequently and when I do I would appreciate having the abilitly to get what I want without having to try and remember to come back.
I had been a regular shopper of this site for 3 years now and all the changes have been wonderful, but sometimes I feel those changes are geared to those who dominate the comment boards now showing under the purchase item. I don't feel welcome in those conversations and frequently feel ignored when I comment to a question or ask one myself. So while these changes will be wonderful for the CC i wonder if i will feel even more out of plae as I begin to "ask" for items since I can now only out one new item in my cart.
Everything else sounds wonderful. I'm excited to see what comes up in the classifieds. Maybe that will solve the issue of not being able to grab two items when needed.
Sounds good to me. Due to internet cut backs at work and limited time on computers at lunch and breaks, I am not able to snag deals as often as previously, but this is a good thing....for my pocketbook! LOL

ReplyDeleteI Love CC and look forward to the changes. It will take me time to figure out them but pretty sure I will be able to. Like everything else in the world - changes are hard to adjust to. They are not going to make EVERYONE happy but that is life. I may not like only able to get one item at a time until it comes back around . . . but I'm not going to let it get me down . . . I know that most things come back around sooner or later. If it doesn't, I just figure I didn't need it as bad as I thought I did. Thank you CC for what you do for your customers and I appreciate you always looking for things to make it easier for all of us.

Would still prefer 2 allowed for each item as my sister and I shop for each other! When I am back at work the only deal I will be able to see is the 4pm one. I guess this will cut down on my shopping since my sister won't be able to pick up items for me.
