Summer Lovin' at CropChocolate.com
On The Crop last week we announced that we would do a warehouse sale. Well, now we're announcing the first one. The first CropChocolate.com warehouse sale will be May 19, 20 and 21! We will provide more details on hours and the address later.
We're also going to change the way we offer product now that the kids will be home for the summer. As mentioned on The Crop, we are going to only allow items to have a 45 day shelf life. After that the items will move from our online inventory to warehouse sale inventory. But what else is new is we are going to feature 2 deals per day during the summer. The first deal will go up at 10:00 AM Mountain and the second will go up at 6:00 PM Mountain. Our goal is to offer two deals so you have more time for summer lovin' with family and friends. Included in that goal, we will try to feature 2 new deal per day rather than repeated deals throughout the day. Then once a month we will do a multiple deal per day extravaganza... before the warehouse sales. We'll do contests and prizes and make those days delectable. The other days of the month will simply be SWEET.
Why the changes? Well for one, more time for friends and family--but don't forget, the CropChocolate.com friends and family community will be there all day and night. Second, every year at this time we seem to get in a crunch at our warehouse. We get about 10 days behind and we want to fix this FOR GOOD. So offering 2 deals per day will help us streamline our fulfillment processes so we can get orders out right away. Third, we want to feature more new items in higher quantities. So like rather than selling only 200 Glimmer Mists, we'd like to sell 2,000. We can do that easily but with so many SKUs, cash gets tight.
Thank you for being patient with us though our move and through one of our busiest months at CropChocolate.com! We're working late to get orders out and will continue to do so until they are. If you get a tracking number that says, "There is no record for this item" it's because we're working late and we missed the 5:00 PM cutoff time for postdates. Of you re-enter that tracking number the next day you will see the updated information.

A Few Things to Talk About
In the upcoming days you're going to see some new changes to CropChocolate.com. One of the biggest changes you will see is a little box by the "BUY NOW" button. The box will have a number in it. This will tell you how many days you have left to check out this item. This is important because we're going to change the way we manage product availability. The first day we feature a new product, the site will automatically start counting down from day 45 to the last day. What this means is we will only feature a given item for 45 days max. Most items we sell out but with those that don't, they will be put into a non-inventory location in our warehouse and we will sell it in a warehouse sale. We are trying to determine how many of these per year we will have--we're thinking 4 to 6. Since most of you don't live in the Beehive State, this means 45 days max to check out any product. We've also been working with another company that may buy all of our left-overs. If we can keep cash coming in and inventory moving, we can offer more SWEET deals for the scrapbooking addict.
Another matter, since some of our items were consignment, we've had some product shortages. Before we would feature certain item we would shoot an email to our source at the supplier to make sure quantities were available. Then we would feature them. In a few cases the supplier has sold out of certain (limited) items. If you ordered one of these items you will receive an email from our customer service with an offer to refund you one of two ways, a direct refund or CropCredit. We generally give you a little bonus if you choose CropCredit. We are really sorry for this--this is one of the reasons we're moving away from any consignment offerings.
The other reason we're moving away from the consignment offering is it's delaying our fulfillment. Our guys are killing it in the warehouse but in some cases they have to wait from certain items to come in before they ship. We're running a few days behind on fulfillment and really appreciate your patience! You are so SWEET to us!
Lastly, since this weekend is Mother's Day and we want you to spend time with loved ones we're going to tell you when deals will be featured.
On Friday we'll have a new deal at 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10 pm. Then on Saturday we'll have a deal at 10am and 6pm. All times are Mountain.
We hope you have a happy National Scrapbook Day and a Happy Mother's Day.
