Prima flowers (3)  (different colors if desired)

Tools/additional items needed:
Quilling tool
Glue
3-D adhesive
Scissors
File

Over the last few weeks, I have been intrigued by all of the vintage work I have seen so I decided that I wanted my Farewell piece to be a vintage card. I watched some quilling tutorials to get the basic idea of quilling so I could make my project look the way I have imagined. Sorry for any of the imperfections for those of you who quill magnificently!!! ;)

Ok….let’s begin!

Cut 10-12 strips of paper (1/4” wide x 5” long). Using a quilling tool, roll the strips into tight spirals.

Unwind each slightly to adjust size then glue the end to secure paper.

To make a leaf, pinch two ends of the spiral. To make a swirl, roll one end of a spiral in the opposite direction to about halfway. If needed, you can shape it more with your fingers to get the desired shape and size.

While the glue is drying, cut a piece of cardstock to 10” x 5”. Fold in half.

Take the Vintage Findings paper and distress the edges of the paper, first with the Pumice Stone stain, then with the Rusty Hinge stain.

Once the stain is dry, adhere to the cardstock.

Next, place the ¾” ribbon about 1” from the bottom of the card and adhere. It will not go all the way around which is just fine.  Take the 1” strip of cardstock and distress it with the Pumice Stone stain. Then place evenly over the ribbon and adhere with the 3-D adhesive.

Once this is done, place your spirals and swirls on the card as you want it and glue down.

While the glue is drying on the card, get out your chipboard tag and scrap of the Vintage paper. Glue the tag to the backside of the paper. Then cut around the tag.  Using the file, file the edges of the tag to remove any excess paper.

Stain the edges of the tag with the Pumice Stone stain first, then the Rusty Hinge.

Using the round end of the quilling tool, rub the paper over the hole of the tag gently, being careful not to break through the paper.

Use the brad to hold the flowers together, then adhere to the tag. Slightly pinch the ends of the petals to make them stand up a bit.

Make two loops with the 4” ribbon and adhere under the flowers on the tag. Then you can stick the pin through the ribbon to keep in place.

Lastly, use some 3-D adhesive to adhere tag to the front of the card.

VIOLA!!! You are done!
