New Design Team Member: Brenna

Hi, my name is Brenna and I live in Texas with my handsome husband of seven years, mischievous daughter of two years, and beta fish of six months.  We love all manner of hobbies.  Family ones, such as gardening, hiking and biking; and individual ones, such as reading, painting and sculpting.  Although I only plunged into scrapbooking in the last two years, it has become an absolute passion in my life.  I enjoy creating albums and cards for family and friends.  I love showcasing feelings and moments as they happen, or bringing out the nuances of a story by the elements I surround it with.  I try to respect the pics and not overwhelm them, but it's difficult to exercise restraint with so much pretty product on the market!   Cropchocolate is by far the biggest scrappy enabler and I love every minute of it.  Scrapbooking also comes with a wonderful community of lively and encouraging ladies who always have something uplifting to say, even when the going gets tough.  I've had fun meeting people online and in person.  Last year I discovered nursing homes enjoy receiving pre-made albums or scrapping supplies, and it's been fun to donate and touch lives in that way.  This is truly the hobby that keeps on giving.  :)

 

 

My favourite project alway seems to be the current one I'm working on, which right now, happens to be a "Family" album for my DD.  She's at the age where she knows 'family' are great people, but doesn't know what makes them different from 'friends'.  So this album will hold only pics of her with family members.  Mum, dad, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.  I'm using 29th Street Union Square, but as I've just started, there's not much to show yet.  (I'll attach a pic.)  The project before that was a baby album I made for a friend, with the Teresa Collins Bebe chic kit from last year.  I also made some homemade 'kiwi lane' inspired stencils to cut my paper for this album... improvising is part of what makes scrapbooking so fun.
