New Design Team Member: Miwa!

My name is Miwa and I'm a resident of southern California. Before you label me as a quirkyCalifornian, though, I will proudly confess that I was born and raised in the Midwest. I have a degree in entomology, but I’m extremely fortunate to be a SAHM for my two little girls. Although the family’s activitieskeep me busy, I do indulge in a few hobbies – so what if I get only a few hours of sleep a night? – scrapbooking, card making, staying fit (I’m almost halfway through my year-long rehab from ACL surgery caused by a soccer injury), and reading. 

Generally speaking, my crafting style is simple and clean; I'm a little OCD, so it really bugs me when projects get too messy! However, I like to challenge myself and step“out of the box” every once in a while, adding a different twist or technique toa creation. My favorite “go-to” time-saver is sketches – it’s easy topick the “right” sketch if you’ve already selected your pictures – and then afterthat, it’s just a matter of choosing your paper (and who are we kidding – we know THAT cantake a really long time). I’m looking forward to the challenges Amber will assign to the DT and can’t wait to be inspired by everyone at CC!
